Early Life and Education of Kanika IAS
Kanika was born and brought up in Bahadurgarh, Haryana. She belongs to a well-educated family where academic values and discipline always remained a priority. Her father is an engineer and her mother, Neelam Tripathi, works as a teacher. Her uncle, Dr. Anil Rathi, is a senior doctor in Jhajjar, Haryana.
She completed her schooling at Bal Bharti School, after which she pursued B.Sc. in Mathematics from Kirori Mal College, University of Delhi. Later, she also completed a PG Diploma in Art Appreciation – Social Justice, Women & Society from Ashoka University.
Before preparing full-time, Kanika got a government job in the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) at Patna in the Intelligence Bureau (IB). After discussing with her parents, she resigned to fully focus on UPSC preparation.
