Abhishek Prakash Early Life and Family
Abhishek Prakash was born on December 21, 1982. Some records also mention November 21, 1982. He was born in Siwan, a district in Bihar. Later, his family moved to Ballia district in Uttar Pradesh. This move made his connection to UP, the state he would one day serve as an IAS officer.

Major Roles, Controversy, and Reinstatement
Abhishek Prakash served as District Magistrate of Lucknow from 2019 to 2022. His tenure became important during the COVID-19 pandemic. He used the “3T strategy” — Tracking, Testing, and Treatment to control the spread of the virus.
The district administration also arranged around 30,000 home deliveries of essential goods daily, helping more than two lakh households during lockdown. He also inspected hospitals and monitored migrant arrivals at Charbagh Railway Station.
After this posting, he became CEO of Invest UP and also served in the Infrastructure and Industrial Development Department. Invest UP works to attract investment to the state.
